大家有没有觉得冬天更冷了，还是笑得暖和一点了呢☺

其实和汉语一样，英语作为一种语言，学习它需要大量地阅读、写作、听力和口语训练，将自己置身于一个英语环境中，提高自己的听、说、写、读能力，培养好语感。那么写英语的论文呢也是和写汉语论文一样的，无非就是：1. 使用一些专业的词；2. 用这些词造句子；3. 把句子拼成文章。可以看出这其中一个重要的组成就是句子，句子有简单句和从句之分，今天我们就来说说科研论文中句子的写法。

中学英语告诉过我们，简单句就是只有主谓宾的句子；从句有定语从句（修饰一个名词），宾语从句（从句前是谓语），表语从句（从句前是be动词），状语从句（两个完整句子用一个连接词连接，中间要有逗号），还有同位语从句等等。当有这么多种句式可供选择时，我们该如何写一句话呢？请大家先看看下面的句子：

XXX, a subgroup of XXXs of more than 333 amino acids in length, have emerged as a new aspect of biology with evidence suggesting they are frequently cell-specific, contributing important functions to numerous systems and may interact with various known regulators that involved in xxx disease.

这确实是一句语法没错的句子，但是基本上看到后面已经忘了前半句什么意思了，因此，即使你造句水平高超到可以写出超长的从句，但这并不是表达的最好方法，我们写作是为了让读者看懂。所以说，老师这里建议大家，如果不能灵活掌握从句的写法，还是尽量写简单句的好。比如把上述句子拆成几句话来写，用来解释XXX的结构和功能，不就好懂多了吗？

• XXX is a subgroup of XXXs of more than 333 amino acids in length.

• It has emerged as a new aspect of biology with evidence suggesting they are frequently cell-specific.

• XXX contribute important functions to numerous systems, including interacting with xxx regulator in xxx disease.

那么是不是永远使用简单句，不能使用从句呢？当然不是，我建议大家学习写简单的从句，比如下面几个从句（主要都是宾语从句）是可以随便用的，只要注意描述结果用动词过去式，总结结论用一般现在时就行：

• we found that ...

• these results indicate that ...

• our study suggest that ...

• we next asked whether ...

还有一些定语或者状语前置的句子写法，也是很好掌握，而且不容易写错的复杂句用法，例如：

• To explore the role of ... in xxx condition, we did ... experiment.

• Having shown ... phenomenon, we next studied ...

• To test this hypothesis, we treat the subjects with ...

• To further determine ..., we did ...

• To evaluate the effect of ..., we did ...

• Given the recent finding that ..., we did ...

总之，我们在论文中使用简单句或者从句的表达方式，都是为了让我们的文章表达的更加清楚明白。有了这一原则，在写任何文章的时候不用担心，只需要把写好的文章给能看懂英语的人读一下，能被看懂的，永远都是好文章。最后，希望大家不要再害怕英语写作，平常心对待，写文章就像“spell that”那么简单，祝大家天天开心！
